Taste and use
Smooth umami and gentle sweetness, with very little bitterness or astringency. Balanced enough to enjoy straight as usucha, with the richness and character to carry an excellent matcha latte. Straight in the morning, latte in the afternoon.
Why this matcha
We looked for the same thing that led us to our previous Matcha Okumidori: a genuinely good matcha that doesn’t have to be saved for special occasions. Smooth enough to drink on its own, flavorful enough for a latte, and easy to reach for every day.

How to Prepare Matcha Okumidori Mie
Usucha (thin tea): 2 g (1 tsp, sifted) with 60 ml (2.4 fl oz) of water at 75°C / 167°F. Whisk briskly for about 20 seconds until foamy.
Matcha latte: Use a ratio of 1 g matcha to 10 ml water. For example, whisk 4 g (2 tsp) with 40 ml (1.4 fl oz) of water at 75°C / 167°F until smooth, then pour into 180 ml (6 fl oz) of milk. Okumidori holds its sweetness in milk, so it needs less sugar than most matcha.
