Wholesale
Kawagiri Tea is a small, one-person operation based in the Toronto area. We source Japanese tea — primarily matcha — directly from producers in Japan, and we’re beginning to offer wholesale to cafés, restaurants, and food businesses in Canada.
We’re still early. Our wholesale programme is growing, and we’re actively expanding what we can offer. We don’t have the scale of a large distributor — but we do have something they often don’t: every tea we sell has been personally tasted and selected by Tetsu, a certified Japanese Green Tea Instructor, for quality and flavour. If it comes from Kawagiri, it’s been verified.
In 2025–2026, matcha sourcing has become particularly difficult — global demand is outpacing supply, prices are shifting, and quality is inconsistent across the market. We’re working to navigate that carefully, sourcing matcha that we can genuinely stand behind. Think of us less as a traditional wholesaler and more as an agent — someone who finds you good matcha and makes sure it stays good.
We’re looking for partners who understand what it means to work with a small business. People who value quality and transparency, and who want to grow together.
